Update Nov. 28, 2016: With the recent changes in winter parking, we expect to see some changes in summer parking, too. Information will be updated as soon as it becomes available. In the meantime, check out BreckForward.com for the most current information.
Summer is a great time to explore Breckenridge on foot, and often that means first finding a place to park. Rules change from lot to lot and season to season. This summer, learn where to park your car (or oversized vehicle) for an hour, a day or overnight in Breckenridge. Traveling in winter? Day Parking in Breckenridge
One of the perks to visiting Breck in the summer is that there are plenty of parking spots. When you park on the street make a mental note of the three-hour parking restrictions. There are also pay parking lots that will be offering free parking throughout the summer. These lots include the Tiger Dredge Lot, F-Lot, Wellington Lot and East Sawmill. Vehicles can remain parked for up to 24 hours in these lots, including overnight. However, vehicles must be moved after 24 hours. The North and South Gondola lots offer free summer parking, however vehicles may not be left overnight. All will resume their normal pay-parking status for the opening day of ski season in November.
Overnight Parking in Breckenridge
There is no camping within town limits, however passenger vehicles can be parked overnight with a $5 per night permit at the Satellite Lot located at 1700 Airport Road overnight. Five dollar per night parking permits are available at the self-service machine 24 hours a day at the entrance of the lot.
There is no overnight parking at the Breckenridge Recreation Center, Carter Park, North Gondola Lot, South Gondola Lot and on the street in the heart of the business district. Remember there is no on-street parking between 2-6 a.m.
Parking for Large & Oversized Vehicles
Oversized vehicles such as buses, RVs and trailers should be parked at the Satellite Lot (1700 Airport Road). Remember though, camping here (or anywhere in town limits) is not allowed. Make sure to park at the North end of the lot. Plan to use your credit card for the $5 per night permit which can be purchased from the self-service machine 24 hours a day near the entrance.
There are various parking permits available through the Town of Breckenridge to help meet the needs of both residents and guests. The town also has a handy Google map of Breckenridge parking lots; be sure to read the descriptions, as the color coding does not get updated.
