There’s no doubt that Breckenridge is a shoe-in for family travel. From biking and hiking to mine tours and fly fishing, the list is endless. Take it from Reed Doughty, Safety for the Washington Redskins, “Breck has something for the whole family.” We caught up with Reed after his recent family vaca to Breckenridge:
Q: What made you choose Breck to take a family vacation?
A: The great hiking, mountain biking, and fly fishing. It is a fun, laid back, family atmosphere. We are Colorado Natives who live on the East Coast but love Colorado. Love to fly fish, hike, mountain bike, snowshoe, golf and enjoy all the other family outdoor activities. We have made Breck our annual family vacation.
Q: What is it about Breck that makes for great family Fun?
A: Breck has a great downtown, shops and food for the whole family. Breckenridge has something for the whole family. The adults hiked Mt. Quandary and the family hiked wilhoutsslot Mohawk. Other activities we all enjoyed were mountain biking the Blue River trail, Peaks Trail and Bakers Tank. We hiked Rainbow Lakes, went fly fishing, went to the Arts Festival and the whole family went stand up paddleboarding.
Q: What do you look for when planning a family vacation?
A: We look for family friendly outdoor activities and restaurants.
