Check out some of the stunning springtime ski views of Breckenridge with Alpine Ski Instructor, Fred Zapp

It’s springtime in the mountains and the skiing is fabulous!  Any day skiing is better than, well, just about anything, but here in the mountains, we have a special love for this time of year.

Perhaps it’s the variety – the variety of weather, that is.  During the months of March and April, the weather can vary from lots of fresh snow to bluebird days.  And the best part is the colder, blustery winter temperatures have eased way to more moderate, dare we say, practically balmy temperatures.  Keep a sharp eye out, because as it gets warmer, the ski attire gets, uhm, skimpier.

But it could be the sunshine that makes us really love springtime skiing.  Let’s face it, the views are simply stunning.  On a clear day you can see as close to forever as you will probably ever get!  Yes, that is actually Arapahoe Basin and Keystone ski resorts that you can see across the mountains.  Welcome to our version of the beach and bask in some of that glorious sunshine as you cruise easily down the trails.

And it could be the soft snow that adds to our love of spring skiing.  As the sun comes out and the weather warms up, so too does the snow.  Nice soft snow that it is just fun to ski through.

Ok, actually, it’s all these reasons and more, and the only way you’ll know is if you’re here.  It’s simply marvelous, darling.
