In our week-long celebration of Opening Day of the Breckenridge Ski Resort and with the preparation of the 50th Ullr Fest, Ullr, Norse God of Snow, made his mark in Denver this past weekend, visiting the Denver Ski Show, the Lumberjack Bar Crawl and hanging with the fanatical Broncos fans.

You can still catch Ullr floating around Denver Wednesday, Nov. 7 and Thursday, Nov. 8, all leading up to the 51st opening of the Breckenridge Ski Resort. Resort staff traveled to Denver Monday and cruised the 16th Street Mall, searching for the lucky FirstChair winners and Tuesday, they hit R.E.I.
As Ullr continued his day, he met U.S. Olympic Gymnast Dakota Earnest, who competed in Trampoline in the 2012 London Olympics. Her and a team from Skyriders soared high in the sky, reaching record heights, flipping with skis and snowboards on their feet. Ullr passed out stickers, reminding avid skiers and snowboarders about opening day and about the 50th celebration of Ullr Fest, which takes place Jan. 6-12, 2013. Hidden on the back of some stickers were free beer tickets, redeemable at the T-Bar, located at the base of Peak 8.
