“Oh this is Ladies Night” but let’s get a little pre-game in first and end in a dance party. Whether you are 21, 31, or 41, there is something for everyone.
SpicyHeart Artisanal Jewelry
Before you head out on the town, why not throw a jewelry party? Originally from Peru, this self-taught long-time Breck local, Alicia Clark-Fulcher, has been creating jewelry since 2010. It’s hard to tell she’s only been making jewelry for 5 years since everything she puts together is AMAZING. Being in love with ancient cultures, this is reflected in her jewelry designs and shows she really pays attention to detail. I’ve purchased quite a few items for friends and they absolutely love them. For more information or to set up a party, contact Alicia on her Facebook page at www.facebook.com/myspicyheart. To purchase from her collection, go to her etsy page www.spicyheart.etsy.com or check out her instagram account @Spicyheart. She’ll even come to your condo or house to let you host the party.
The Breckenridge Arts District
The Arts District provides opportunities for all interests and ages. Classes include beading, textiles, painting and pottery. Maybe you and your gals want to get creative? Check out breckcreate.org for more information and a listing of classes.
Ready, Paint, Fire
Looking for a little arts and crafts? Look no further. Located at 323 N. Main St. Ready, Paint, Fire is open daily. They have a little something for everyone…Painting pottery, mosaics, cocktails and canvas, and glass fusion. Want to book a private party after hours with your gals? Give Beth a call and she will set you up with an exceptional time. My book club recently came here to try out the glass fusion class. We had a blast. Check out the pic below to see some of our creations. And an added bonus they even serve up wine, beer, and snacks while you get crafty.
Ridge Street Wine/Breckenridge Cheese and Chocolate
Ladies what do we love to drink while we chit chat and gossip? That’s right, wine. At Ridge Street Wine, owner Anne Dowling, will share her sommelier expertise and help you pick out the perfect wine for your next happy hour or delicious dinner. Weekly fun events can include: Wine and cheese nights, Flight nights and more.
The Blue River Bistro
Opened by some of my college buddies, this place is a hit. A fresh remodel and 2-for-1 apps and martinis during happy hour (which they have two of from 3pm-6pm and 9pm-close bar only), what more could you ask for to start and end your night off right? The martini menu is extensive and delicious. A must try is the Cucumber Gulch Martini featuring muddled cucumber – this martini is crisp and fresh. Want something on the sweeter side? Order the Snickers, you won’t be disappointed, it may even be your dessert for the night. If you happen to be here on Sunday, the bistro serves up a killer brunch.
South Ridge Seafood
A long time locals secret. Tucked away off of Main Street, beat the crowds for some great cocktails, good food, and the infamous “cup of love.” Bartenders, Darrell and Pete, will make sure your ‘spirits’ are on a high for the night. The Sangria is my favorite in this hidden gem.
New to town this year is the Canteen. Familiar faces are present as are some crafty cocktails. Give their version of the Moscow Mule a try, served in a ‘canteen’ of course. If you need a small bite, make sure to try either the queso fundido or the ahi with guacamole. Accompanied by house made chips, these options are delish. And the atmosphere is warm and friendly.
Ullr’s Sports Bar and Grill
Ullr! Ullr! Ullr! Let’s think snow! Sorry got carried away there. Ullr’s is located in Main Street Station by Maggie Pond. Best night for us ladies is Wednesdays featuring ladies night and Karaoke. Drink specials can include $1 Miller Lites and $2 Wells. Warm up those vocal cords and get ready to sing your heart out.
And as if you haven’t had enough or to start the week off right…Monday night is ladies night at Liquid Lounge. Free drinks for ladies from 10pm-1am. Get some ‘liquid’ courage before dance the night away with DJ Ryan on the deck.
