MICRO, by Purring Tiger

This interactive installation consists of a 10-foot x 14-foot x 10-foot structure featuring 200 translucent, hanging balls, each equipped with a speaker. When a ball is bumped, it generates a unique sound and lights up with one of five different colors. As people play with the balls they are engulfed by a symphony of lights and sounds surrounding them on all sides. Performances will also be woven into the schedule.

The message behind these giant white rabbits goes well beyond fun and fairy tales. First introduced to the artist’s native Australia by white settlers in 1788, rabbits have caused a great imbalance to the country’s endemic species.
