Team Italy’s sketch of their sculpture titled, “Looking up”

Italy is new to the Breckenridge International Snow Sculpture Championships and is as excited as ever to join this event. These first-timers will be building a sculpture titled Looking up.  The sculpture is a massive chair, and a small person sitting on it, looking upward. This represents a small man in a much too big and difficult world (symbolized by the big chair) who is looking up towards the sky. “It’s about the idea of hope and the capacity of believing in the future during a period of crisis, and the capacity to look over the material problems.” Check out the submission sketch here. Follow their progress during the competition January 21 – 25, 2014 where we will be posting to this blog post or check us out on Facebook.com/GoBreck. GoBreck.com.
