Team USA-Breckenridge originated during the town’s annual celebration of the Norse god of snow, Ullr. Snow sculpting in Breckenridge began with the early days of Ullr Fest and has since evolved to a renowned festival of its own. Though the original Breckenridge team members no longer compete, they do have a hand in the event and assist with the carving of sponsor sculptures. This year, Team Breckenridge’s piece will depict a rodeo cowboy, perhaps a nod to the addition of PRCA rodeo to the town’s summer event lineup. Check back for team updates during the competition, or see it in person  Jan. 22 – Feb. 3, 2013. Click on the links to see more sketches from teams selected or to read more about the event. About Team USA-Breckenridge The Breckenridge team of today is composed of captain Keith Martin, Tom Day, Tim West and Margo Jerkovitz.

No stranger to snow sculpting, the conditions or the snow. Team Breckenridge is a great representation of their home town.
