Team Catalonia-Spain first competed in the Breckenridge International Snow Sculpture Championships in 2012 with the piece Correfoc (fire runs), which highlighted fireworks traditions in Catalan festivals. For the 2013 competition, the team will sculpt a tribute to Pablo Picasso.

For the 2013 International Snow Sculpture Championships in Breckenridge, Colo., Team Catalonia-Spain will sculpt a tribute to Pablo Picasso.

Their accomplished backgrounds include experience with a variety of materials including wood, stone, ice and snow. Team captain Lluís Ribalta Coma-Cros has competed at events in Canada, Russia, Finland, China, Austria and more.
