Thomas Haden Church. Lou Diamond Phillips. Connie Nielsen. JoBeth Williams. If these names sound familiar, it’s because they’ve all attended the Breckenridge Festival of Film in recent years. Oh, and they’ve starred in blockbuster movies such as Spider-Man 3, La Bamba, Gladiator and Poltergeist. So who will be attending this year’s Festival? You’ll have to come out and see for yourself.
The 32nd Annual Breckenridge Festival of Film will take place June 7-10, 2012, at locations throughout Breckenridge. There are over 50 independent films entered in this year’s festival, and premieres have will be announced immediately preceding the opening of the Festival.
Past premieres have included the opportunity to see Hollywood’s biggest box office hits BEFORE they opened to the public nationwide. The Breckenridge Festival of Film is a wonderful mix of indies, documentaries, dramas and comedies, with something for everyone. Besides an incredible line up of movies, there are a variety of events and workshops that are held in conjunction with the festival….such as THE PARTIES!
Yep, that’s right, you can get your groove on at a variety of parties that include film makers, actors, writers and directors that are open to the public. The best parties are usually on Friday and Saturday night, but shhhh…..you didn’t hear that here! If you are visiting Breckenridge, there are a number of special options for lodging. Main Street Station and Beaver Run Resort both offer special rates for those attending the festival. There are ticket options for every budget, with individual movie tickets costing a mere $10, or an all event “Peak 10” pass (yes, it includes the parties) that includes admission to all movies and events.
