Dew Tour takes over Peak 8 of the Breckenridge Ski Resort Dec. 12-15. The world’s top athletes compete for what may be a potential spot for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. This year, Dew Tour offered a unique opportunity for one local student from the Colorado Mountain College. Nick Young, a photography student at CMC, was chosen for one of GoBreck’s newest programs, Day in the Life. Nick will be in the center of all of the action Tuesday, Dec. 10, as the pros go big during practice and get the inside scoop from the athlete lounge.

Local Breckenridge photographer, Nick Young, chosen as Day in the Life candidate for Dew Tour

Nick Young is a talented photographer living in Breckenridge, Colorado. Nick was born and raised in California, later moving to Colorado. Upon graduating high school, he moved to Summit County where he could be immersed in the world of action sports, further pursuing the art of photography. His mission and vision as an aspiring photographer is to capture individual expression through creatively and style. As an extreme sports enthusiast himself, Nick is devoted the demands associated with extreme sports. Among his friends, Nick is better known as the “cameraman.” He uses his camera to capture the lifestyle, culture, dedication, and diversity of a wide variety of athletes and sports. Nick is currently employed with a company who provides HDR photography for real estate and property management companies. In addition to this, he also enjoys photographing people, events, and portraits. He continually seeks out opportunities to turn his passion into a lifelong career. Nick is pursuing a business degree to further aide him in upcoming endeavors. In the future he hopes to continue working in the field of photography, with a special focus on extreme sports.

Young told us that he is more than excited to photograph the Dew Tour. “I get the opportunity to take pictures of some amazing athletes. I am going to take full advantage of this circumstance and use it to further my pursuits in photography,” said Young. Young will have access to the athlete lounge and practice areas on Tuesday, Dec. 10. His photos will be shared throughout the Dew Tour‘s social outlets, as well as GoBreck.
