Grab your buddies and start putting together your pretzel necklaces because the Breckenridge July Beer Festival is literally right around the corner, this Saturday, July 14th at Main Street Station!

It’s no secret that the great state of Colorado is home to some world-class microbreweries, so when it comes time to celebrate the art of craft beer, no one does it quite like Breckenridge. Now in its ninth year, the Breckenridge Beer Festival has attracted 26 different brewers for this year’s event.

Put on by local radio station KSMT The Mountain, the festival also boasts free live music, so even if you aren’t sampling the hoppy brews you can wander in to listen to tunes from Kyle James Hauser, Rob Drabkin and headliner Muskateer Gripweed from 1-6 p.m. on the Summit Stage sponsored stage (now that’s a mouthful).

Locals know that the July festival has sold out for the last three years so the best bet is to buy your in advance, allowing you to walk right in and start sippin’ away on Saturday. Festival-goes can purchase a 5 oz. tasting cup for $25 in advance and $30 at the door, that comes with unlimited samplings throughout the afternoon (as in, all the beer you can drink, so be responsible people!). Or, you can opt for the VIP treatment and secure yourself a large glass commemorative stein, separate VIP entrance lines, private beer tasting with a selection of beer in the VIP room and a catered lunch, which runs $65 in advance and $75 at the door.

Can you say unlimited? Snap as many samples as you can from 1-6 p.m. this Saturday at Main Street Station. Photo credit: Ian Leirfallom

If you don’t have a designated driver already lined up for Saturday why not book a room for the night and enjoy Breckenridge for the entire weekend. Lodging deals through Resort Quest start at just $130 a night and you can even get discounted mugs when you book your lodging.

Even though we live in a pretty dog-friendly area of the country this is a no pet event. In all reality you probably don’t want your dog licking up spilled beer all afternoon anyway. It’s also good to note that this event is an annual fundraiser for Breckenridge Mountain Rotary and Advocates for Victims of Assault, which helps locals in need with counseling and support in times of crisis.

So don’t delay and get your tickets as soon as you can. As in, right now! Click here to purchase.
